I had so much fun illustrating this entry for a competition to redesign the packaging for Crayola Bambino crayons! Lately I have been working with a lot of layering with animals and floral and botanical elements. One of the most relaxing things in the world is to listen to a good podcast while creating a multilayered image in Photoshop. It is a bit like working on a huge puzzle. I keep moving the elements around and arranging them in a zillion different ways to come up with a pleasing combination!
It is MATS Bootcamp time again. I take MATS courses every year and I consider them vital to my growth as a creative person and Illustrator. I love the vibrant, supportive creative community that surrounds MATS Bootcamp. I created this Forest and Foliage journal for the April 2021 Bootcamp assigment. I don´t know about you, but I can always find a way to use a new journal. I would add metallic foil details to the cover of this journal to make it extra special.
